People often ask me what the favorite part of my job is. And I usually tell them that it is when I get to create the blog for each wedding. I love being able to tell each story in its most pure form and in a way that can be viewed in a rather short amount of time.
After four years of shooting weddings, Sophie and I definitely have a different view of weddings than when I used to only attend them as guest. As a photographer you see everything that happens that day. The good, the bad, the ugly, and the almost transcendent. To me, that is what makes weddings so special.
My hope is that when you view Chloe and Ethan's story you get a glimpse into this incredible day. Not just the ceremony, or the reception, the first kiss or the first dance, All of it. The dress and the way the shadow fell so perfectly over the rings. The hair and make up, the crazy dogs, the chaos of trying to get the last minute details sorted out, the unbearably cute flower girl and the brother in law pastor that always knows who to make people laugh. The sheet of paper than is so much more than a sheet of paper. The Dad whose jaw dropped the moment he saw his daughter walking down the stairs in her dress, The amazing outdoor venue for a beautiful meaningful ceremony and the step stool Chloe uses to kiss her groom. The sun that I had a love hate relationship with all day. The way it made the bridal party squint, the way it came into the pavilion right before the first dance. and the aww inspiring sunset that we just had to steal Chloe and Ethan away for a few minutes to enjoy. And so much more.
Enjoy!
