Amanda and Myles' Wedding
Amanda And Myles are two of the most genuine people we have met. And there love for each other is as real as it gets.
We hope that we were able to capture this amazing day in a way that is honest and real. Their story took a long time to get to this day. And I think it was worth the wait!
We hope you enjoy their story as much as we do.
Natalie's story
When I first met Natalie, she was in junior high. I was her youth pastor. Our first adventure together was at a weekend retreat. At some point during the weekend I decided it would be a good idea to tie her shoes together. From that moment on, she thought I was the coolest person ever. She however, has spent the last 5 years pretending she doesn’t think that.
You see Natalie cares. A lot. But she doesn’t want you to know that. In fact, she’s probably going to get mad at me for typing this. But photography isn’t just about the pictures, it’s about the story behind the photos.
Natalie is one of my favorite people on the planet and my hope is that this story gives you the slightest glimpse into who she is. A silly, awkward, loving, compassionate, imperfect, hopeful, amazing human being.
Erik and Benedicte's wedding in their backyard
This is one of the stories that reminds me of what I do and why I do it. It's weddings like this that inspire me to keep telling stories.
My friend Josh called me about two weeks before this day and asked if I was available to shoot his brother Eric wedding. He said it was going to be in their backyard. I told him that I would need travel expenses. Which was funny because Erik and Benedicte live across the street from me. So after a long journey to their house, I immediately fell in love with the experience they had created for their intimate list of guests. The whole night was simple, beautiful, honest, and real. You could tell not only how they loved each other but how much their family and friends meant to them as well.
I am honored to have been able to tell this story. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

Lipstick Olympics 2017
Welcome to the fifth annual Lipstick Olympics. The Olympics were created by the Lipsey's and the Streasick's. Get it? Lipstick?
The Lipstick Olympics are an annual event for a group of home schooled kids to get together and compete in a day filled with fun athletic events. This event is takes months of preparation and these folks really go out for these kids. They create everything from hand made medals to creative events/ activities for the participants. This was my son's second year competing (by competing I mean eating cupcakes). I can't wait till he is a little older and can really have fun with the rest of the kids. Thanks Kevin, Hannah, Tess, Cody and everyone else for an awesome olympics this year. We can't wait till next year!
Enjoy!
Adam and Emily's Wedding @ The Historic Meeting House at New Garden
Sophie and I drove a long way for this one and it was worth every mile. The Historic at New Garden was a magical venue for this wedding.
I met Emily a few years ago and after checking out our work she made a promise to me that whenever she got married, she was going to have us tell her story. To be honest I was kind of surprised she remembered, but she did! And boy oh boy, I'm glad she held up her end of that promise. This day was beautiful from the moment we arrived on the property. My favorite part of the day was how much Emily and Adam were together. So many weddings we are a part of, the bride and groom rarely see each other. But, on this day Adam and Emily made it a point to be together and to share this day with one another. I love that!
I hope you enjoy their story as much as we do.
Sarah and Steven's Wedding in Flint!
Sarah and Steven love Flint!
So of course they chose to tell their love story in the city they also love. They also got pretty creative with ways they chose to highlight the city throughout their day. Flint is not always shown in the best light and the couple hoped this story would show off the beauty of Flint.
Sophie and I had a blast telling Sarah and Steven's story. We love these two people and hope you love this story as much as we do!

Jason and Marissa
"These are a few of my favorite things..."
"...A dream that will need all the love you can give every day of your life for as long as you live..."
About 6 months ago we found out that my sister in law Amber got engaged to the man of her dreams in Austria. It was just as scenic and incredible as it sounds. Check out more of their STORY and engagement photos by the amazing Wesley Taylor. After they got back from their trip they asked if we would tell their wedding story. I cannot tell you how honored I was to be asked. I love these two people and I knew their story would be a lot of fun to tell.
Amber and Luke both have a love for music and for the theatre so it was fitting that instead of a first dance they did a first song together. Their reception was highlighted by live performances from their incredibly talented friends and family. Their day was filled lots of laughter and fun. And a few nods to their favorite musical, "Sound of Music." including of course, a brown paper package tied up with string and girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes. We got through the day without any dog bites or bee stings and I promise this blog will not make you feel sad. Ok, enough with the cheesy puns. Check out Amber and Luke's story. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
Zachery and Mallory's Wedding..."Frick Yeah!"
When Sophie or I take a shot that we like, it is pretty obvious. We usually make weird sounds, shout loudly, or sometimes we even high five. A few weeks ago I was hanging out with Zachery and Mallory on the lake where they met. At one point in the evening, I took a shot I really liked a lot and I shouted “frick yeah!” I can honestly say this was the first time I had ever shouted those words on a photo shoot. But needless to say, it was obvious that I was happy with the shot I took.
During their wedding, Mallory came up to me and asked me why I hadn’t shouted “frick yeah” yet. I can’t remember what I said to her but what I shoudlve of said is that the whole day had been one big “frick yeah!” As cheesy as that sounds, its true. This day inspired me from the moment I drove onto the property. It could not be more obvious how much Zachery and Mallory love each other. And I am so glad they chose Sophie and I to tell their story. I really hope you enjoy their story as much as we enjoyed telling it.
